The International Young Opera Singers Contest “CITTÀ DI BOLOGNA 2009” does not only represent a mere competition and show off contest for young singers,but it gives a unique opportunity of artistic and professional growth.
Without any additional costs and with the possibility of free of charge lodging, the selected artists will be able to attend the Specialization Stage (free) held by the artistic director, M. Paolo Coni.
The Contest has some important collaborations: with the Teatro Comunale of Bologna, the Accademia Internazionale della Musica of Milano, the Centro Studi Farinelli of Bologna, the Accademia Filarmonica of Bologna, the CantoFestival (Associazione La Fenice) of Amandola (AP).
All of these can offer further occasions to perform for winners and finalists.
The section dedicated to Baroque music have Cinzia Forte as special guest.
A new section (Senior) is dedicated to singers “over 35”.
Winners and finalists will have the possibility to perform in various concerts and opera promoted by the Association and staged in the wonderful cornice of the Teatro da Camera “ALESSANDRO GUARDASSONI”.
